A couple of years ago, I came off stage wrung out after giving everything in a one-woman show, to be greeted by someone who got right up in my face and said, audaciously: “Would you like notes?” No hello, or well done, or how do you feel. (And the person is not someone I’d value feedback from at the best of times.)
Yes, we have to decide who to take notes from. I’ve had some absolute gold dust feedback that has really helped me on my way.
